Pacquiao and Basketball: All eyes are on him
Posted by Unknown on 7:45 AM
How many minutes of play time did Manny Pacquiao spent in his first game as a basketball player? Many Filipinos are still not convinced that he has a place in this sport. But close friends of his claims that Manny Pacquiao is a good ball player and he is very passionate about basketball. Only time will tell if the critics are right.

Manny Pacquiao: Boxer, Politician, Singer (sort of), Basketball player. What's next?
Posted by Unknown on 5:32 AM
We all love Manny Pacquiao (uhm the athlete, not the politician) and some of us (okay, a few of us) were excited when he added the PBA as his next big thing. But will this affect his boxing career? We all know that he is not getting any younger and the dream fight with Mayweather is still in limbo. Also, what would he become in the next to years if he got tired of basketball? For goodness sakes, not the Senate!

Watch: BBC documentary about the Philippines
Posted by Unknown on 5:09 AM
The British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) produced a documentary about our country called "Philippines Beautiful people, Beautiful Country." It's refreshing to know what westerners think about our nation. Not everything's bad, we should appreciate our country more and help build a bright future for our kids.

Purisima, you lucky... you.
Posted by The Filipino Medrep on 6:53 AM
Earlier, its Vice President Jojo Binay. Now, PNP Chief Alan Purisima's turn. The former I described as a new business guru, the latter I will describe as a great negotiator. He must be a salesman before he joined the force because even experienced salespeople such as a real estate agent (he bought a nice piece of land for only Php 150,000.00) and a car salesman (he bought a Toyota Prado for half the price) was no match for him.

What a Medical Representative really do?
Posted by The Filipino Medrep on 8:09 AM
2. My girlfriend thinks I flirt a lot. Okay I do flirt a lot. That my girlfriend is correct.
3. My family thinks I sell medicines. No that is not true. I sell medicines that my doctor does not want to prescribe and patients does not want to take.
4. Doctors think I'm stupid, and that I'm here to promote the brands because advertisements are not allowed on TV. Well, some of my district mates are stupid, does that make me one?
5. My boss thinks I'm lazy. But the truth is that I think my boss is lazier than me.
6. What thousands of Medreps do is worry all the freaking time. Sales quotas, calls and reports? Those are just the tip of the iceberg. We worry about job security and unpaid incentives and stupid-ass bosses.
Mastering the art of "Deadma"
Posted by The Filipino Medrep on 6:43 AM
Deadma (pronounced dead-mah) is a Pinoy play on the local expression "patay-malisya" from the English phrase "dead malice". Deadma means pretending not to know that something is amiss. This usually does not include facial expression because the purpose of this is to show that you are not affected by somebody or what this somebody says.
As much as I want to master this, especially when I'm at the office, I involuntary roll my eyes or make a facial expression. Now, learning from a good friend, what I do now is I try to imagine myself rolling my eyes. And that usually makes me smile.
Okay, now, office frenemies, die!

The Fappening: Coming soon to a theater near you (we hope!)
Posted by The Filipino Medrep on 8:34 AM
The Fappening (also known as An Ode to the iClouds) can easily be mistaken as a Young Adult novel-turned-into-a-movie produced by Lions Gate, much similar to The Hunger Games.

From 2.5M to nearly 60M in 25 years, Binay is the new Business and Investment Guru
Posted by The Filipino Medrep on 7:46 AM
I will let the picture speak for itself on this one because all the legit news organization is reporting this. How this came to be, maybe its a miracle or the Binay's have a really good flower shop business. But now I have a dilemma, do I need to run for office or open up a flower shop to earn my first Php 2.5 million? After that, 25 years will be a piece of cake.

Posted by The Filipino Medrep on 11:31 PM
Of course, we need to think about the people's basic need to... release. But come on, ABS-CBN, do you have to use the words "animals" and "sex" in the same headline?
